Got Questions about your Party Pig?

How much beer is in a Party Pig?
A Party Pig contains 288 oz  =   2.25 gallons = 1 case =  24 servings
of beer

What are the advantages of the party pig package?
We hold quality above all other attributes.  Air kills a beer over
time.  Regardless of the container size, approximately the same
amount of air is introduced into the package.  The result is that the
smaller the package, the quicker it goes stale. Party Pigs solve this
problem two-fold.  First, we actually prime out the air of the
package after the package is filled, and secondly we have a very
large volume of beer.  The result is a much fresher product when
you get it.

How long will a Party Pig last?
We mark them for a 90-day shelf life.  That’s for a full Party Pig
kept refrigerated.  The less beer that is in the package, the faster
it can become stale—it’s a surface area to volume issue.  Storing
the package unrefrigerated also shortens the freshness life-span.

But it goes flat after a day, right?!
No.  The last pint is just as fizzy as the first one.  You never pump
air into the Pig.  There’s a bag inside that gradually inflates to
squeeze the beer out, and the beer is always kept pressurized.  As
a result, a Party Pig does not go flat.   The contents of the bag do
not mix with the beer.  However they are food-safe, just in case.

Do I have to keep it cold?
Yes and no.  We recommend that you keep them cold for
convenience.  It takes a long time to cool that much beer down.
Never let the Party Pig (full or empty) get hot (trunk of a car in
August).

Can I take a Party Pig on an airplane?
Party Pigs made for great Carry-On Luggage before the whole
"Liquids and Gels" restriction kicked in.  Someday when the world
is at peace this will be possible again.  Don’t put your pig into the
checked-baggage.  That could get messy.  We can’t predict what
will happen in those wild pressure and temperature swings.  If
you're interested in shipping a Party Pig to a friend, use FedEx or
UPS.
NEVER EVER send beer through the U.S. Postal Service.

What's with the red button?
It's a panic button.  Press the big red button and all of your
problems just seem to melt away.

Is a Party Pig refillable, recyclable, and reusable?
Of course they are.  If you can get it back to the brewery, we will
do our part.  The problem is that we can't fill it and give it back to
you (state law, taxation, direct sales).  The economics of it are
pretty thin, but we love the Earth too.

My Party Pig pours slowly, what's the problem?
You are impatient.  I recommend counseling.  No really, either that
or you really need to have a beer and chill out.  The internal
pressure of the Party Pig recovers slowly at very low
temperatures; this can cause the Party Pig to pour slowly under
heavy loads.  It is also possible that the internal bag has pressed
against the internal valve.  Two possible fixes: shake the Party Pig
to dislodge the bag away from the valve, or reach into the fridge
and turn the temperature control up to 40 degrees.

My Party Pig pours slowly; will all the beer come out?
Yes.  We have never had a problem with a Party Pig giving up its
contents.
We don't tell people what to like,
we just give them great choices!
