Par-3 American Wheat Ale Par-3 is a light beer brewed in the American Wheat tradition and has a flavor profile very similar to Kolsch, a Northern German beer style rapidly growing in popularity in the U.S. The Par-3 recipe was designed as a more flavorful alternative to the mass-produced light pilsners brewed by the major brewing companies.

Par-3 is especially suited for consumption during hot-weather
recreational activities. It is moderately hopped to accentuate the
distinctive flavors of this light ale. The brewing process results
in a low-carb, low-cal beverage without sacrificing flavor.
The beer’s clean and crisp flavor profile accentuated by the high
carbonation and the light body make this a very drinkable beer,
especially well suited for outdoor activities and social events.
Par-3 American Wheat Ale will appeal to golfers and sports
enthusiasts who drink beer socially and do not wish to add
additional calories to their diets. Par-3 also makes an excellent
Session Beer. A Session Beer is defined as one that you can
enjoy for several pints within a couple of hours and still carry on
an intelligent conversation. The product should appeal to most
beer drinkers and should be sold based on the freshness, the
local brewery appeal, lack of preservatives, and crisp smooth
characteristics. It can be accurately described as a full-flavored
light beer--lots of character without the calories expected in such
a refreshing beer.
The Story Behind Par-3
The Par-3 recipe was developed by Leslie Henderson while she
was still a home-brewer. She prepared a light grist consisting of
a unique blend of three grains—barley, wheat, and rye—to
prepare a refreshing summer brew and served it at a local
charity golf tournament. The beer was a huge hit with the
golfers. “Par-3” immediately came to mind as the perfect name
for this brew. It’s the 3-grain beer perfect for the golf course!
Par-3, like all Lazy Magnolia creations, is a unique beer.
However, some of our customers note that Par-3 is similar in
flavor to Amstel Light and Sam Adam’s Light. The Par-3 tap
handle is a white pub style handle with a magnolia finial. A
shield on the tap handle contains a white sticker with the name
and logo in green.

So Many Ways to Enjoy Par-3
Par-3 can be mixed with other Lazy Magnolia beers to lighten the flavor. We suggest that customers experiment with different proportions to find their favorite mix. Our favorite: Baby Blue--50/50 mix of Blue Heron and Par-3
Par-3 is an excellent beer to enjoy with any meal, but it is especially well suited for pairing with salads.
In the kitchen, use Par-3 to boil Bratwurst sausages and to prepare batter for frying fish.
